Back 2 School Supplies

We do school supplies for 450+ Perry County underprivileged children, which 225+ received brand new shoes and 66 received free haircuts.

To make it easier for us to accommodate that many students, here’s our wish list.

We need these the most:

  • Backpacks (large enough to hold binders)
  • Binders (1” to 3”)
  • Lunch Boxes
  • Notebook paper

We also need:

  • Calculators
  • Colored pencils
  • Combination locks
  • Earbuds (required by West Perry)
  • Erasers
  • Flash drives
  • Folders
  • Markers
  • Notebooks
  • Pencil cases
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Rulers (non-bendable)
  • Scientific Calculators (West Perry requires TI 30XIIS)
  • Staplers

We do NOT need:

  • Crayons (we have 1000+ from last year)
  • Glue sticks (we have 500 from last year)
  • Loose pens & pencils (we have almost 3,000 from last year)
  • Scissors (we have a few hundred from last year)

Please bring your donations to our office by August 1 so we can figure out what we still need to buy.

Back 2 School Shoes

All of our programs are based off of private donors.   In past years and this current year, a HUGE thanks to Snyder's UMC and Shollenberger, Januzzi & Wolfe, LLP, we were able to meet the shoe need.  Also, thank you to Country Footwear & More of Newport, PA for working with us to fit 225+ pairs of shoes.

Back 2 School Haircuts

After our 2016 year with our Back 2 School Program, we asked the parents we serve "if" other needs existed.  They answered with, "haircuts".  This past year were again empower to meet this need.  A HUGE thank you to Amy, owner of Curl Up & Dye w/ Style and Marysville Lioness Club, we provided 66 haircuts.
