Housewares items (kitchen utensils to brand new mattresses).
- We can usually find a “home” for anything dropped off at our warehouse but here are some items to give you an idea of what we will accept. If you would wear or use the item for yourself, we’ll take it.
1. If it isn’t good enough for you, please do no donate it to us.
- Appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc)
- Books
- Clean Clothing (birth to 5 years old)
- Furniture (“hard” furniture like bed frames, dressers, etc) - please call before drop off
- Gently used toys
- Houseware items (kitchen utensils to brand new mattresses)
- Medical equipment (walkers, hospital beds, canes, crutches, band-aids to large pieces of equipment)
- Nutrition drinks
- Small Appliances (microwaves, etc)
- VBS materials
2. What will you not accept?
- We do not accept “soft” furniture (anything with upholstery)
- We do not accept television sets (unless it’s a digital flat screen)
- We do not accept pharmaceuticals
- We do not accept knickknacks
- We do not accept baby equipment (cribs, strollers, car seats, etc) due to liability reasons
- We do not accept Sunday School materials (but will take VBS materials)
- We do not accept used construction materials
3. Do you accept food donations?
- Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Bank is the primary food bank for Perry County. The food bank accepts food donations. Lucky for you, they’re located in in New Bloomfield too! Take your food donations to the food bank which is right in front of the Perry County Prison.
4. Do you accept Christmas decorations?
- We only accept Christmas Decorations in the month of November.
